Hi, I'm Erica.
I create better experiences.

I am a user experience designer and researcher, helping companies and brands create better digital experiences for their customers and users. On the unicorn spectrum, my specialties and strengths lie between design and research/testing. I am well-versed with the product development lifecycle, requirements writing process, and user journey/flow mapping. I have 8 years of experience designing for web apps, mobile apps, responsive experience, marketing pages, and internal websites.

My Process

Strategy

I determine how products should work based on business requirements and user needs. I have experience taking complex business needs and stripping them down to the most essential business goals. I subsequently work with my team to create experiences that accomplish these goals without interfering with the users’ goals.

Research

Research is an essential part of my process. I create research plans to be executed during all phases of design, from gathering preliminary findings to validating and iterating prototypes. Research is a core part of my process, and I aim to eliminate assumptions, guesswork, and business biases from my designs.

About Me

I was born and raised in sunny southern California, which is also where I attended college at UCLA. I graduated with a B.S. in Physiological Sciences, but pursued my passion in design. I stumbled upon UX on accident, but loved everything about it and decided to make it my full time career. I’m currently looking for opportunities in LA/OC area. In my spare time, I like to play and watch basketball, snowboard, spend time with my family, and play video games.
